Distance Learning
Distance Learning is defined, for the purpose of accreditation review as a formal interaction which uses one or more technologies to deliver instruction to students who are separated from the instructor and which supports regular and substantive interaction between the students and instructor, either synchronously or asynchronously. Distance learning often incorporates technologies such as the internet; one-way and two-way transmissions through open broadcast, closed circuit, cable circuit, cable, microwave, broadband lines, fiber optics, satellite, or wireless communication devices; audio conferencing; or video cassettes, DVDs, and CD-ROMs, in conjunction with any of the other technologies.
All Distance education students will have reasonable and adequate access to the full range of student services enjoyed by all of our students. For more information, please come by our office in room CS103 or call (760) 921-5568.
Contact the Financial Aid Office prior to enrolling in Distance Learning courses to determine if your financial aid eligibility will be affected.
