Dual Enrollment/Concurrent Enrollment

Welcome!

The Dual & Concurrent enrollment program provides an excellent opportunity for students to earn college credits at Palo Verde College before they complete their high school diplomas allowing them a head start and the ability to explore possible career paths. Concurrent enrollment students are considered as part-time Special Admit Students. Students can take a maximum of 11 credits in Fall/Spring Semesters and a maximum of 5 credits during Summer.

For information about dual enrollment courses, students should first speak with their high school counselor to ensure that it fits within their schedule and satisfies their high school requirements.

Dual Enrollment courses are classes provided during instructional hours at the high schools and are available to 10th-12th grade students:

Concurrent Enrollment allows students to register and complete other courses held outside of instructional hours in the school district and are not limited to the online offerings of courses. Students from 6th-12th grade have the opportunity to take courses under proper advisement from the college and their school counselor.

Students who are utilizing homeschooling are also able to utilize Dual and Concurrent Enrollment courses.

Getting Started

In order to register for a dual or concurrent enrollment course, students will need to create a CCCApply Account using the following link. Please use a personal email when creating an account and not an email provided by the school district as they will lose access to that email after graduation. A social security number is not needed to complete the application, but if the student may have one, it is recommended to have it listed if possible.

Getting Stared

After 1-2 business days, an email will be sent to the email address provided with information on getting started and necessary information such as your PVC ID and PVC Student Email.

Please speak with your high school counselor to go over what courses may be beneficial and which may be able to apply towards high school credit. Once courses are chosen, a Special Admissions Request Form needs to be completed with both a student and Parent/Guardian Signature. Once complete, the form needs to be sent to the student's high school for a principal/vice principal signature. The form can be accessed below:
