Tim Bolin
Sociology Instructor
My name is Timothy Bolin (they/them), I am a professor from La Verne, California,
who teaches Ethnic Studies, Sociology, and Philosophy. My passion lies in research-informed
teaching and collaborative community building. I view education and research as tools
for social change that can take place in the classroom or community spaces. For this
reason, I am inspired by the greater call of community colleges to develop culturally
relevant, locally impactful education. As a person who identifies as queer trans-nonbinary,
I teach to highlight the experiences of the marginalized, and through education, I
hope to affect the creation of equity in the broadest sense. I understand equity is
a communal project, a relationship between peers where we are constantly striving,
constantly confronting the aspects of society that reinforce or perpetuate stratification.
I currently serve several leadership roles at Palo Verde Community College, including:
the Assessment and Accreditation Co-chair, Student Equity and Achievement Co-chair,
Academic Senate Secretary, and Co-Chair of the History, Behavioral, and Social Science
Division. As an educator and campus leader, I have worked with a diverse population
of learners, including incarcerated students in the California Rising Scholars Program.
In my capacity as a faculty leader, I have had the opportunity to create education
programming that best serves the needs of students and their families. Additionally,
I currently co-lead equity efforts on campus through the Student Equity Planning Institute
(SEPI), and I am the LGBTQIA+ designee committee and Advisor for Student Government
and Pride Clubs on campus.

| Bianca Rodriguez Advancement Services Specialist bianca.rodriguez@paloverde.edu Hi! I'm Bianca (she/her) a born and raised Blythe local. I have been a staff member at Palo Verde College since 2018 where I started out as a part-time staff member in the IT Department. Now days you can find me in the Business Services Office, working on something to do with scholarships or marketing for the college. I graduated from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Graphic Information Technology with a focus on Web Design and Development in December of 2019. I like to keep my skills sharp by continuing to shape my craft and learn as much as possible. Aside from work, I love watching horror movies, reading, creating art and music, and spending time with my family and friends. This summer I was finally able to attend my first Pride event. The feeling of being around other members of my community expressing themselves for a joyous occasion was such an amazing feeling. My hope as a designee is to be able to foster that kind of feeling here at PVC. |

| Jaclyn Randall Dean of Needles Center jrandall@paloverde.edu Hi, students and colleagues! I am Jaclyn Randall Crowe (she/her/hers), a Blythe native and a Needles lover. I am the Dean of the Needles Center in the tri-state area. My educational background starts as a baby Pirate when I attended Palo Verde College Child Development Center. I returned to PVC earning an A.A., transferred to CSU San Bernardino where I earned a bachelor's in psychology. Currently, I am working towards a Ph.D. in Social Psychology after earning two masters (psychology and philosophy) along the way. Being a woman of color who has seen some things and lived even more, I am here to be someone to hear you, see you, and speak to you. I will also listen. Sometimes just having a person listen can be just what is needed. I will take your lead and direction. The Needles Center is here for you. Serving the community is one of my greatest joys. I want to make sure people are wanted, loved, and welcomed at Palo Verde College. The Needles Center serves as a safe haven for the community. If you are a student or know someone who needs resources, please stop by. We are on Route 66 in downtown Needles. |
