Palo Verde College Foundation Offers Scholarships

NEEDLES - Financing continuing education can be a major challenge - frequently the
major challenge - for the college-bound. Needles High School students have an ally:
the Palo Verde College Foundation which, among other things, has scholarship funds
available.
Stephanie M. Slagan, MPA, executive director of the foundation, visited Needles on
Feb. 27; part of an ongoing series of visits to the community and PVC's Needles Center.
"As of right now we have scholarships available," Slagan said in a telephone interview
from her office at the main campus in Blythe. "We now have more than $60,000 in scholarships
available in Needles and the Palo Verde Valley." Read More
Rabobank donates $10K toward ending PVC student hunger: Local bank delivers funds
to college as part 'Hunger Free Campus Initiative'

In commitment to and support of maximizing local collegiate student success, representatives
from the resident Rabobank company presented a check in the amount of $10,000 to the
Palo Verde College (PVC) Foundation at the campus Anthony J. Reale Building's Assembly
Room, Jan. 24.
The "Hunger Free Campus Initiative" donation sum served as a vital infusion of fiscal
support toward kick-starting a campus-based food pantry for students who struggle
making ends meet in their day-to-day lives - a tangible concern that's felt and reportedly

PVC Foundation honors local patron Ron Baker at 2018 Christmas Dinner & Gathering,

Palo Verde College (PVC) staff, faculty, and friends came together earlier this evening,
Dec. 7, to host the institution's 2018 Christmas Dinner & Gathering at the campus
Pirate's Den, as well as to collectively thank and recognize the long-standing patronage
and support of the evening's guest of honor.
"His wife (Glen Baker) had a difficult time getting him to come out tonight, but he's
here with a smile - I'm speaking of Ron Baker," said PVC Foundation board member and
