Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT)

Palo Verde College – Supporting a Safe and Healthy Campus

Our Mission

The Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT) at Palo Verde College is a cross-functional team dedicated to ensuring the safety, well-being, and success of all students, staff, and faculty. BIT seeks to identify, assess, and respond to concerns regarding student and campus behavior that may pose a risk to individuals or the community.

Who Can Submit a Referral?

Anyone in the college community — faculty, staff, or students — can submit a referral if they observe:

  • Threatening, erratic, or disruptive behavior
  • Emotional or psychological distress
  • Signs of self-harm or harm to others
  • Unusual or alarming communication or social media post

Not sure if it’s a BIT referral or a counseling concern? Submit the form — we’ll help determine the right support.

Submit a Referral — Confidentially
